For those of you who share a keen interest in apps and creating them know that there are two platforms that are dominating the app scene.
They are the iPhone and the Android platform. Now there is a new way to create apps and an income on apps, it is called BlueVia. BlueVia is part of O2 – Telefonica.
What they have created is a way for developers to create apps and using their APIs the apps can send texts and make calls from apps. The BlueVia APIs can integrate with android, iphone, desktop and web apps.
With new features such as in app purchasing coming soon. This is a new way for app creators to make money.
This market is currently open to any Telefonica customer, this means you could have a wider audience than just smartphone users. Telefonica are the first mobile service provider to do this business modle.
Other mobile service providers do have their technology (APIs) open to developers, but none of them have the profit share business mobile BlueVia has.
Telefonica has started this business modle to give developers and entrepreneurs the opportunity to make businesses and apps using their technology, if Telefonica succeeds in this mission, they will stand out of the crowd as a strong mobile service provider.
Now I hear you asking how difficult will it be to implement apps that integrate with BlueVia, I have had a go with some friends of mine, it took three of us four weeks to create an app, the app is a birthday and anniversary messenger.
