It’s the Saturday before Halloween, the hair’s done, the makeup is on and the fangs are in. It’s time to party. This year the chosen party was The Masked Ball, imagine a bouncy castle, circus tents, fair rides a double decker bus and enough music to shake your tail feather to! One band in particular caught my eye, a new band who are set to be huge in the coming year and they are called Dive Bella Dive. A pop punk dance band from London who have as much energy as a steroid user after a red bull-athon. The band have been signed to Islands Records who have introduced the country to Amy Winehouse, Bombay Bicycle Club and U2. The band’s presence on stage was not like any band I have ever seen before, they went for it and they went for it good and proper! They were so in sync with each other all giving as good as they could. The lead singer Barnaby definitely put on a show, not only did he strip off down to his pants, he swung from a trapeze that was attached to the ceiling and he even ran around the tent moving the crowd to the front. These guys play a punk dance infusion which had everyone up and jumping around like they were at a 1980’s Guns and Roses show. Keep your finger on the Dive Bella Dive pulse as this was only their second gig so they are bound to get bigger and better in the next year.
