The Great Gatsby Game?

The Great Gatsby Game?

For all you literary lovers and gaming geeks, here is NES inspired The Great Gatsby game (http://greatgatsbygame.com/), made by developer Charlie Hoey and editor Pete Smith as a tribute for  both, book and Nintendo. The 8-bit game transforms into colour and animation what the book conveys in print. It’s always great to see mediums being shifted and it is even better to see a classic of modern times being transformed into a video game. The game is simple, but yet fun and addictive; something all NES games were and still are. Level 1 begins with Gatsby’s party and you play as Nick Carraway in his slick brown suit, jumping to collect cocktails and shooting boomerangs at the party staff such as Wilfred, Gatsby’s butler. I didn’t get past the first level but if you have time then please do complete it. If you want to know more about the lifestyle and of the elusive and charming Gatsby, then do pickup the novel; apart from that enjoy the tribute!

p.s. It has a nice soundtrack :)
